The SPRO Wameku Shad is a loud, versatile lipless crankbait designed by MLF angler Shinichi Fukae to give bass anglers multiple ways to control running depth and action with a single lure. Named after the Japanese word "wameku," meaning "to shout," the Wameku Shad produces a pronounced acoustic presentation combined with the vibration and flash bass expect from a quality lipless crankbait.
The Wameku Shad's defining feature is its two-line-tie system, allowing anglers to quickly change the lure's action and running depth. The forward line tie produces a tighter, more subtle action and allows the bait to run deeper, while the rear line tie creates a wider, more aggressive action for shallower presentations. This makes the Wameku Shad highly adaptable to changing water depths and fishing conditions.
The Wameku Shad 60 measures 60 mm and weighs 1/2 ounce, with a listed running range of approximately 1-3 feet from the rear tie and 3-6 feet from the front tie. The Wameku Shad 70 measures 70 mm and weighs 3/4 ounce, with the front tie reaching approximately 5-8 feet and the rear tie running approximately 3-5 feet. Both models feature Gamakatsu round-bend treble hooks and a G-Finesse Tournament Snap.
