The SPRO BBZ-1 Rat is a lifelike topwater rat lure designed by renowned lure designer Bill Siemantel to give bass and other predatory fish an easy-to-fish surface presentation. Its realistic rodent profile, articulated body, square bill, and long jointed tail combine to create a natural movement that can be worked with a steady wake, a walk-the-dog retrieve, or other topwater techniques.
The single-jointed body allows the BBZ-1 Rat to move naturally through the water, while its durable square bill helps produce a controlled surface wake and makes the lure easy to walk from side to side. The articulated rat tail adds additional movement and realism, creating a highly visible silhouette that can attract aggressive predators from below.
Constructed from multiple composite materials, the BBZ-1 Rat is designed to provide a durable, wood-like feel while standing up to hard topwater strikes.
