The Shimano World Diver 99SP Flash Boost Jerkbait is a deep-diving suspending jerkbait designed to reach fish holding in the 6- to 8-foot range. Measuring 3.9 inches and weighing 16 grams, the World Diver combines a compact baitfish profile with Shimano's advanced FLASH BOOST, JET BOOST, and SCALE BOOST technologies.
FLASH BOOST uses a reflective foil suspended on micro springs inside the lure to continue producing subtle flashes during the retrieve and while the bait is paused. This creates the appearance of a vulnerable baitfish and gives following bass another reason to strike when the lure stops.
JET BOOST uses an internal weight-transfer system to improve casting distance and accuracy. During the cast, the weight moves toward the rear of the lure for improved flight, then returns into position when the bait enters the water. This makes the World Diver particularly useful when anglers need to cover suspended fish or reach distant structure.
SCALE BOOST incorporates a composite-pitch holographic scale pattern that creates complex light reflection and enhances the lure's realistic baitfish appearance. Combined with the World Diver's erratic side-to-side darting action and suspending behavior, these technologies make it an effective choice for deep jerkbait fishing.
