Bay De Noc Swedish Pimple

The Bay De Noc Swedish Pimple is a classic jigging spoon designed for vertical jigging, ice fishing and open-water presentations. With a proven design that has been used for generations, the Swedish Pimple combines a compact baitfish profile, solid brass construction and an enticing jigging action to target walleye, perch, crappie, trout, northern pike, bass and other freshwater gamefish and panfish.

Designed to imitate an injured or vulnerable baitfish, the Swedish Pimple responds to a lift, fall and pause retrieve with an erratic jigging action that helps attract fish and trigger strikes. Its versatile design makes it equally useful when jigging vertically through the ice or working the lure from a boat during open-water fishing.

The Swedish Pimple is especially well known as an ice fishing jigging spoon. Drop the lure to the desired depth, use short lifts of the rod to activate the spoon and allow it to fall back through the water. Vary the height and speed of each lift, then incorporate pauses to determine how aggressively fish are responding.

For walleye, the Swedish Pimple can be jigged around bottom structure, breaks and other areas holding fish. Larger sizes provide additional weight for fishing deeper water and targeting larger gamefish, while smaller sizes offer a more compact presentation.

The smaller Swedish Pimple sizes are excellent for perch, crappie and other panfish. Fish them through the ice or vertically around weeds, timber, docks and other productive structure. The hook can also be tipped with a small minnow, minnow head, grub or other bait to add scent, taste and additional attraction to the presentation.

The Swedish Pimple isn't limited to ice fishing. During the open-water season, anglers can vertically jig it from a boat or use a lift, fall and pause retrieve to target fish throughout the water column. This year-round versatility makes it a useful addition to both ice fishing and traditional freshwater tackle boxes.

Each Swedish Pimple is forged from solid brass, providing durability, consistent weight and the distinctive action that has made the lure a long-standing favorite among anglers. The lure comes equipped with a treble hook and colorful flipper for additional visual attraction.

Select Swedish Pimple sizes can also be used with an included single baiter hook and flipper, providing anglers with another option when fishing baited presentations.

Fisherman's Central carries the Bay De Noc Swedish Pimple in multiple sizes and colors, allowing anglers to match the lure to target species, fishing depth, forage and water conditions. Smaller sizes are ideal for lighter panfish applications, while larger Swedish Pimples provide additional weight and profile for deeper water and larger gamefish.

Natural metallic finishes provide flash that resembles baitfish, while prism, fluorescent, glow and high-visibility patterns give anglers additional options for stained water, low-light conditions and ice fishing.
