Bill Lewis Original Rat-L-Trap (Sizes - 1oz, 3/4oz, 1/4oz, 1/8oz)

The Bill Lewis Original Rat-L-Trap is one of the most recognized lipless crankbaits in fishing, combining aggressive vibration, a signature rattling sound and a versatile sinking design that allows anglers to target fish throughout the water column. Available in multiple weights, the Original Rat-L-Trap gives anglers the ability to adjust their presentation for shallow water, deeper structure, faster retrieves and changing fishing conditions.

Built with the classic lipless profile that made the Rat-L-Trap famous, this sinking crankbait produces a tight vibrating action during the retrieve while its internal rattle chamber creates an attention-grabbing sound designed to trigger reaction strikes from predatory fish.

The aerodynamic body allows the Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap to cast long distances, making it an excellent search bait for covering large flats, open water, submerged vegetation and offshore structure. Use a steady retrieve to quickly locate active fish, burn the lure over grass, rip it free from vegetation or allow it to sink before beginning your retrieve to target fish holding deeper in the water column.

Unlike a traditional diving crankbait with a fixed bill, the Rat-L-Trap's sinking lipless design gives anglers more control over running depth. Retrieve it quickly to keep the lure higher in the water column or allow it to sink before beginning the retrieve when fish are holding deeper.

The Original Rat-L-Trap is especially effective around submerged grass and vegetation. Retrieve the lure above the grass or allow it to make occasional contact before snapping it free. The sudden change in speed and direction can create a reaction-style presentation that helps trigger aggressive strikes.

Anglers can also fish the Rat-L-Trap with a lift-and-fall or yo-yo presentation. Allow the lure to sink, lift it through the water column and let it fall again while maintaining control of the line. This technique gives anglers another way to target fish when a traditional straight retrieve isn't producing bites.

Fisherman's Central carries multiple sizes of the Bill Lewis Original Rat-L-Trap, allowing anglers to select the right weight for the depth, retrieve speed and conditions they're fishing.

The 1/4 oz Rat-L-Trap provides a smaller, lighter presentation that is useful when fish are feeding on smaller forage or when anglers want to work shallower water with a more compact bait.

The 3/4 oz Rat-L-Trap provides additional casting distance and weight while maintaining the classic Rat-L-Trap profile and action. It's a versatile choice when anglers need to reach deeper water, make longer casts or maintain better lure control in windier conditions.

The 1 oz Rat-L-Trap provides a heavier lipless crankbait presentation for targeting deeper water, offshore structure and situations where additional casting distance and faster sink rate are beneficial.

Available in a selection of proven baitfish, chrome, crawfish and high-visibility patterns, the Bill Lewis Original Rat-L-Trap allows anglers to adapt their lure selection to local forage, water clarity and fishing conditions.
