PB MS Flatnose Minnow

The Berkley PowerBait MaxScent Flatnose Minnow is a 4-inch soft plastic minnow designed for drop-shot fishing, finesse presentations and situations where bass, walleye and other predatory fish are feeding on smaller baitfish. Featuring Berkley's MaxScent material, a compressed flat nose and lifelike minnow profile, the Flatnose Minnow provides anglers with a natural baitfish presentation for targeting pressured and difficult-to-catch fish.

Designed with a compressed flat nose, the Berkley MaxScent Flatnose Minnow is particularly well suited for a drop-shot rig. The flat nose provides an effective hooking area while allowing the minnow body and lifelike tail to move naturally in the water.

The 4-inch minnow profile provides a versatile baitfish imitation that can be used when predators are feeding on shad, minnows and other small forage.

Berkley's PowerBait MaxScent material releases a powerful scent field into the water while providing an ultra-realistic texture and natural matte appearance. The soft yet durable material helps create lifelike action while allowing for easier hook penetration.

For drop-shot fishing, nose-hook the Flatnose Minnow and work it above the bottom around rock, gravel, points, ledges, grass edges and other high-percentage areas. Small movements of the rod tip allow the tail to move naturally while the bait remains in the strike zone.

The Flatnose Minnow is an excellent smallmouth bass drop-shot bait. Fish it around rocky points, gravel flats, transitions, offshore structure and other areas where smallmouth are feeding on minnows and baitfish.

When smallmouth are suspended or relating to offshore structure, the Flatnose Minnow provides a compact baitfish presentation that can be worked slowly without aggressively moving the bait away from the fish.

For largemouth bass, use the Flatnose Minnow around grass edges, docks, points, brush and offshore structure. The subtle profile provides an excellent alternative when larger worms, creature baits and more aggressive moving presentations aren't producing bites.

The Flatnose Minnow can also be used for walleye fishing when fish are feeding on smaller baitfish. Berkley includes the MaxScent Flatnose Minnow in its current walleye bait assortment, making it a versatile option for anglers targeting multiple freshwater species.

In addition to drop-shotting, the Berkley Flatnose Minnow can be used on a Carolina rig for a subtle baitfish presentation along points, flats, breaks and offshore structure.

It can also be fished weightless when anglers want a natural gliding and swimming presentation. The streamlined minnow body and lifelike tail provide subtle movement that imitates vulnerable forage.

The Flatnose Minnow is especially useful when targeting pressured fish. Its realistic minnow profile, natural colors, subtle action and MaxScent material provide multiple attraction cues without requiring an oversized or overly aggressive presentation.

In clear water, natural baitfish colors such as Natural Shad, Baby Bass and other subtle patterns provide excellent options for matching local forage.

Green Pumpkin and other natural colors provide versatile choices when fishing around vegetation, rock and mixed cover, while brighter or higher-contrast patterns can help provide additional visibility when water clarity decreases.

Fisherman's Central carries the 4-inch Berkley PowerBait MaxScent Flatnose Minnow in multiple colors, giving anglers options for matching baitfish, water clarity and fishing conditions.

Each package contains 10 Flatnose Minnows, making it easy to keep multiple baits ready for drop-shot and finesse fishing throughout the day.
