Steel Shad XXL Blade Bait
- Low stock - 8 items left
The SteelShad XXL Blade Bait is the largest and heaviest blade bait in the SteelShad lineup, built for anglers targeting larger predatory fish and fishing deeper water. Measuring 5 inches and weighing 2 ounces, the XXL combines a durable stainless-steel body with a heavy molded weight to produce strong vibration, impressive casting distance, and precise control throughout the water column.
The SteelShad design places the weight along the belly of the lure, shifting the center of gravity to create a stable, intense vibration as the bait is retrieved. This powerful action makes the XXL an effective search bait for locating active fish and can be worked at a variety of speeds. The lure can also be trolled at different speeds while maintaining its characteristic vibration.
The durable stainless-steel construction allows anglers to tune the lure by bending the tail. This can alter the direction and action of the blade bait, allowing anglers to work around structure, adjust running depth, or create an injured- or dying-baitfish presentation. The XXL also features two split-ring attachment positions for controlling depth and vibration.
Equipped with 5/0 VMC Permasteel single hooks, the SteelShad XXL is designed for both freshwater and saltwater applications. Its large profile and heavy weight make it well suited for targeting bigger predators including bass, walleye, pike, musky, striped bass, salmon, trout, and other aggressive game fish.
