he Stanford Baits Boom Boom Frog is a hollow-body topwater frog designed in collaboration with MLF pro Fred Roumbanis to deliver a specialized presentation for bass fishing around heavy cover. Measuring 2.5 inches and weighing 3/8 ounce, this compact frog combines a streamlined profile with innovative features designed to improve performance and hook penetration.
The standout feature is FrogFur, a patent-pending material positioned along the top of the frog. FrogFur is designed to interact with the textured interior of a bass's mouth, helping the frog stay connected during the fight. The Boom Boom Frog also incorporates a diamond-shaped belly weight positioned between the body and the razor-sharp Mustad Wide Gap Frog hook. This weight is designed to stay out of the hook's way while allowing the hook to extend farther during the hookset.
The hollow-body construction makes the Boom Boom Frog an excellent choice for working across shallow vegetation, mats, pads, and other areas where bass seek cover. Its compact 2.5-inch profile is particularly useful when you want a smaller topwater target without giving up the weedless advantages of a hollow-body frog.
Whether you're walking it through open water or working it through heavy vegetation, the Stanford Baits Boom Boom Frog gives bass anglers a purpose-built topwater option with unique hook-retention and hook-positioning features.
