The Shane's Baits 5th Element Umbrella Rig is a premium bladed umbrella rig designed to imitate a tightly packed school of baitfish with maximum flash, vibration, and attraction. Built around five premium willow blades, the 5th Element adds a center blade to the traditional umbrella-rig configuration, creating an especially convincing baitfish-school presentation for bass and other predatory game fish.
At the heart of the 5th Element is a precision-machined, military-grade aluminum head designed for balance and durability. The head incorporates Shane's Baits' interchangeable-arm system, allowing anglers to replace damaged arms rather than replacing the entire rig. Stainless-steel arms provide flexibility and durability, while ball-bearing swivels and strong snap-lock connections allow anglers to quickly attach their preferred jig heads or soft-plastic presentations.
The five willow blades generate considerable flash and vibration as the rig moves through the water, helping draw attention from bass that are actively feeding on schooling baitfish. The additional center blade gives the rig a more complete baitfish-school appearance and adds another source of flash and thump to the presentation.
The 5th Element is particularly effective around offshore structure, ledges, brush piles, points, and other areas where bass use schools of shad and other baitfish as a primary food source. It can also be an effective tool for covering water and locating actively feeding fish.
